FISH ALERT!  FISH ALERT!  FISH ALERT!
FISHING REPORT
Tuesday July 20th  Not much has changed over the last week or so. Crappy conditions and inconsistent fishing is now into its second straight week with no hope in sight. More windy weather is ahead of us thru late week and the muddy brown water that has been in the inshore areas will surely be around well into the coming weekend. After such a great start to the summer, things have pretty much gone south. While we have caught a few Big Reds and a couple of nice Jacks, most of the trips are being occupied by catching Sharks. And even that hasn't been a sure thing. All anyone can do is hope for light winds, clear water, and the opportunity to catch a variety species that the island normally has to offer. God Bless our Gulf coast fishing Brethren and I hope to have better fishing news at the end of the week.

"CONSUMER ALERT."

A message to all visiting anglers.  Please be aware of misleading fishing guide websites offering their services to Hilton Head visitors. An attractive looking website  accompanied by claims of "local expertise ," and "vast amounts of knowledge" does not in any way make it so. The Mighty Mako  is not trailored from here to there, randomly picking up clients at public docks or landings, demanding payment of cash only. The Mighty Mako has fished out of Palmetto Bay Marina for over 20 years and has been docked in the exact same slip (slip #1) for that entire time. We gladly accept several forms of payment and offer all of the amenities one would expect from a reputable marina and charter service. For me, fishing is not a hobby, it is my way of life.

Hopefully, you will experience the thrill of a life time (or an enjoyable day among friends and family) when you fish aboard the Mighty Mako in 2010.
Tight lines to all you anglers who have fished (and have yet to fish) aboard the Mighty Mako.
LETS GO FISHING!!!!     Tight Lines,
Capt. Dave
Now lets go wet a line!
